Fought Builds Connections with Kronberg Bridge.

Milwaukie, Oregon

Located between Kellogg Lake and SE McLoughlin Boulevard, the Kronberg Park Multi-Use Walkway connects the Kellogg Creek Bike-Pedestrian Bridge and downtown Milwaukie area with the nearby sidewalk, crosswalk, and Trolley Trail at the south end of the park while restoring and preserving existing habitat. It also improves access to the Main Street light rail station. Once completed, the park will restore and preserve existing habitat, install interpretive signs, create overlooks and bird blinds, and incorporate benches, picnic tables and a nature play area.

Fought & Co. is proud to have been selected to fabricate the steel bridge portion of the Kronberg Park Multi-Use Walkway. It’s unusual for Fought to build a continuous bridge that has so many twists and turns. It’s more common for us to be fabricating linear bridge girders spanning long distances over rivers and highways. The Kronberg Park bridge is a smaller more intimate steel bridge that has special meaning connecting the City of Milwaukie in a new way. This connection provides a safe pathway for walkers, runners, bikers, and nature enthusiasts.
